Does this require an app install?

No. Pairothek runs in the browser — a guest scans the QR or opens the link on their phone, taps a plate, and reads three one-line reasons. Nothing to download, nothing to register, nothing to update. The same applies to the CHF 5 host PDF: it's a printable PDF you keep on a tablet or hand around the table.

Which languages are supported?

German, French and Italian — the three languages of the Swiss table. The interface follows the language of the guest's browser, so the same QR serves a German-speaking regular and a French-speaking guest at the next chair over. The PDF booklet ships trilingual too, one paragraph per language per dish.

Professional sommeliers, not a crowd. Every recommendation traces back to an expert’s note in the Pairothek library — a human wrote the reason, the ranking model just orders them. That’s why the suggestion holds up when a waiter hands a guest three bottles they are happy to open.

What does the venue tier cost and how long does setup take?

From CHF 49 per month — well below the 20–100 EUR the incumbent restaurant software charges, and far below the cost of a wine mistake on a busy night. Onboarding is about five minutes: send us your menu and your current list, we index it under your brand, we hand you back a single QR sticker and a white-labelled flow. No hardware, no POS integration.

Through Stripe Checkout — you click ‘Get the PDF’, enter your email on the secure Stripe page, pay CHF 5, and the PDF lands in your inbox within a minute. We never see your card details, and the PDF is yours to print, fold, and keep. No subscription, no account, no auto-renew.
